The North London Mental Health Partnership

On 1 October 2024, and subject to final approvals, we anticipate that the new North London NHS Foundation Trust (NLFT) will be established. NLFT will be formed from the merger of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust. The two trusts have been working together as the North London Mental Health Partnership for two and a half years, and the merger is the culmination of our partnership working, but is only the start of achieving our ambition to rethink how we deliver cutting-edge and person-centred mental health and wellbeing support to our service users and communities. We are looking to appoint a new Deputy Chair to the Board of the new Trust and would be keen to hear from individuals with the passion, drive, values, and commitment to improving outcomes for the communities we serve.

Welcome from Nick Russell, Chair of the Governor Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Deputy Leader Governor at Camden and Islington NHS FT

Welcome from Lena Samuels, Chair, North London Mental Health Partnership

I am delighted that you are interested in joining the Board of the newly formed North London NHS Foundation Trust (subject to merger on 1 October 2024)

I am immensely proud of our achievements as our two trusts (Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust and Barnet, Enfield and Haringey NHS Trust) come together which, particularly over the last few years, exemplify the commitment and passion we have for delivering outstanding services in the most demanding of times.

We have exciting plans for the future and I am looking for a talented and experienced leader to add value to our forward thinking Board and play a critical role in turning these plans into reality.

Our new Trust will serve an incredibly diverse set of communities, including some areas with the highest rates of mental health problems in our country, and all of our staff are dedicated to improving outcomes and providing outstanding care.

We have big ambitions for the coming years, all underpinned by our values: we are kind, we are respectful, we work together, we keep things simple, we empower and we are proudly diverse. If you feel these values resonate with you, and are excited by what you read across this website, then we would love to hear from you.

I hope you find this website informative, and if you would like more information then please contact Melanie Shearer and Jim Canning of GatenbySanderson for an informal conversation. I look forward to meeting you in the very near future.

Kind regards,

Lena Samuels, Chair, North London Mental Health Partnership
